Sephora would be expanding its « Quiet Hours » scheme worldwide, according to an article in the Journal du Luxe. The LVMH group's beauty retailer would have run a pilot project in 32 stores across eight markets, before rolling it out globally.
The scheme would aim to limit sensory overstimulation in stores (dimmed lighting, reduced sound levels) in order to foster a more inclusive welcome, particularly for people with neurodivergent profiles. It would have been developed by Sephora's internal teams in association with outside experts such as Open Inclusion and Purposeful Futures.

In France, the programme would already be operational since 10 September, with two-hour slots offered every Thursday and Saturday, from 10am to 12pm. At the European level, Sephora would be aiming to cover 90% of the stores in its network.

A topic championed at the European level
Elodie Barbé is Sephora's vice president of marketing for Europe. The subject of wellbeing in the retail journey will, moreover, be the focus of a dedicated webinar by the Journal du Luxe on 21 October, with Elodie Barbé among those attending.
