According to information provided by an industry source, some 150 stores are said to be affected. Temperatures altered remotely

In certain stores, the hackers reportedly managed to remotely alter the temperature settings of refrigeration equipment, with increases of up to 50 degrees. This intrusion is said to have led to the destruction of stocks of fresh and frozen products. Some outlets are already reportedly reporting financial losses that could reach several hundred thousand euros.

For its part, Système U confirms that a cyberattack is underway and that it affects « certains magasins de plusieurs enseignes ». L'enseigne specifies that « dans les pires des cas, cela a pu conduire à jeter tous les produits frais ».
