SCAD has opened its exhibition At the Designers' Table: Iconic Evening Elegance at SCAD LUXE, the luxury archive and research centre in Savannah, for the autumn 2026 academic term.
Established in 2025 across SCAD's campuses in Savannah and Atlanta, the centre is here deploying an intimate tablescape format to examine the craftsmanship, creative vision and signature design codes of global luxury fashion houses. The exhibition brings together iconic pieces and rare objects from heritage houses including Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Christian Dior, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin, as well as original design drawings from Schiaparelli.
For students across several creative disciplines, the archive offers direct access to haute couture garments, bespoke design objects, accessories, fine furniture and historical primary-source materials. Kate Newell, Executive Dean of Academic Services at SCAD, commented on the matter in a statement cited by FashionUnited UK.
