The European private equity fund Inflexion would become a minority shareholder in Manucurist, according to information reported by Premium Beauty News. Spécialisé in mid-sized companies, Inflexion would thus join the capital of the French green nail polish and nail care brand.
Founded in 1996, Manucurist is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, according to the same source. D'abord distributed in French professional salons, the brand has become omnichannel and now claims nearly 5,000 points of sale in some forty countries.
Support for international expansion and innovation
L'entrée of the fund into the capital is meant to support the founders and the executive team in accelerating the company's international development, with particular attention paid to the États-Unis and to expanding the physical distribution network, while continuing to grow online sales. Inflexion would also support the brand's investments in innovation and new product development, with the ambition of making it a global leader across all categories dedicated to nail beauty.
« Avec Inflexion, nous avons trouvé un partenaire qui partage notre vision et qui a fait ses preuves dans l’accompagnement de marques dans leur développement international. Nous nous réjouissons de travailler ensemble et d’ouvrir un nouveau chapitre de notre aventure », said Gaëlle Lebrat Personnaz, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Manucurist.
L'opération was carried out with the support of the investment bank Alantra, financial adviser to Manucurist's shareholders.
