Louis Vuitton is said to have appointed Hector Muelas to the newly created position of brand creative director, starting 1 November 2026, according to FashionUnited France. The appointment takes effect on that date, FashionUnited UK specifies.

Hector Muelas joins from the American luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co., where he had served since August 2023 as global brand and creative director, a position the English-language version of the report refers to by the overall title of global chief brand and creative officer. Both houses, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co., operate under the French luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

This is not the first time Hector Muelas has worked for the group: he had already joined it in May 2015 as global vice president of content and creation, before taking the position of brand director at the German trunk maker Rimowa, from June 2017 to June 2019, to lead its relaunch on an international scale.

Between his stints at Rimowa and Tiffany & Co., he spent two years as group creative director for global marketing communications at Apple, leading brand marketing for services such as Apple TV, Apple Music and Apple Pay. Between 2012 and 2015, he had already overseen global creative initiatives for the iPhone and the Apple Watch, alongside independent consulting work for private equity and venture capital firms.

His background also includes creative lead positions at the talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), creative director at the Dutch advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy, and editor-in-chief and partner for the Canadian digital media outlet Vice Media. His career thus spans more than 20 years in creative direction and editorial management across Amérique du Nord and Europe.
