Chanel announces the release of the second volume of its ARTS & CULTURE magazine, backed by the Chanel Culture Fund, an international programme created in 2021 to support artists and institutions. Volume 2 will be available from 23 October 2026.

Published in English, this issue sets out to decode the ties between the Maison of rue Cambon and the arts in all their forms. It follows a first volume launched in summer 2025.

This issue brings together new photographs by American artist Cindy Sherman, on the cover, as well as original lyrics handwritten by Patti Smith. Portfolios are devoted to Klára Hosnedlová and Linder Sterling, while essays offer unpublished portraits of Jean Cocteau and art collector Peggy Guggenheim. The magazine also includes conversations with playwright Lynn Nottage, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, and literary critic Merve Emre.

The Chanel Culture Fund supports, among others, the Centre Pompidou and the National Portrait Gallery, two of the institutions backed by the programme.

ARTS & CULTURE Vol.2 will be distributed free of charge in a selection of independent bookshops around the world. In Paris, this collector's magazine will be available at Librairie 7L, a symbolic address since it was founded by Karl Lagerfeld in the late 1990s.

Chanel is also running another publication, Coco, a magazine devoted to beauty and fragrance produced with media brand Chaos. Its inaugural issue, The Make-up Issue, runs to 115 pages compiled under eight different covers. Distributed at the Maison's beauty and fragrance points of sale, the title comes in five languages.

With these two titles, Chanel aims to cement its owned-media strategy in order to impose its own editorial codes and enrich its storytelling through the perspective of writers, artists and experts.
