Cabaia is launching Cabaia Studio, a laboratory dedicated to creation and collaborations, according to FashionUnited France. The first collection from this initiative, named Le Léonard, is signed by Constance Gennari, who is said, according to the same source, to be the founder of The Socialite Family, a media outlet turned home-decor brand offering its own collections of furniture, lighting and objects.
The collection includes three models: a backpack with a removable pouch at 129 euros, a handbag at 99 euros and a pouch sold separately at 39 euros. It draws on the Adventurer backpack, launched in 2019 and presented as a commercial turning point for the brand, retaining its functionality and modularity while evolving the aesthetic. Constance Gennari was given free rein for this project.
Until now, Cabaia had mainly developed accessories built around functionality, personalisation and everyday use. With this first collaboration, the brand introduces a stylistic dimension brought by a personality from outside the company. Cabaia bags are mainly made from synthetic textile materials, notably recycled polyester, with polyurethane components; 98% of products are said to be EVE Vegan certified, according to FashionUnited France.
A brand established across Europe
Cabaia is said to have been founded in 2015 by Bastien Valensi, joined in 2016 by Émilien Foiret, according to FashionUnited France. The brand reportedly has an in-house team of 350 people and reportedly generated revenue of 120 million euros in 2025. It has more than 38 stores in France, including three outlets, as well as four stores in Belgique, three in Allemagne, two in Pays-Bas and one in Luxembourg, with a strong presence in the DACH and Benelux regions.
Cabaia claims 2,000 retailers across Europe, including 900 in France, and a customer base of more than three million people, 75% of whom are women.
