Armedangels has developed a boucle yarn free of polyester or any other synthetic fibre, now used for more styles in its autumn/winter 2026 collection « For the Cozy and Curious ». The yarn made its debut in 2025, before this expansion to new styles.

Boucle is a typical winter knit quality, whose characteristic loops, volume and fuzzy surface are traditionally achieved using synthetic fibres such as polyester. The Cologne-based brand chose a different path: the yarn combines wool from RWS-certified farms with Tencel Lyocell from Austrian fibre producer Lenzing, a cellulosic fibre made from certified or controlled wood sources. Armedangels already uses this Tencel Lyocell in other product categories, including outerwear and underwear.
The yarn was developed by Christiane Bördner, creative director, and Julia Kirschner, director of impact and innovation. »

According to Armedangels, the boucle yarn had already become a best-seller in its very first season. The autumn/winter 2026 knitwear collection « For the Cozy and Curious » has been available since 8 October 2026 via the brand's online shop and stores.
