The Italian industrial group HModa has created Accademia Holding Moda France, a training body designed for the creative and product development teams of luxury houses. The stated goal: to help them better understand the realities of Italian manufacturing.

Certifié Qualiopi, this body is primarily aimed at professionals working in studios based in France. It seeks to improve mutual understanding between several professional worlds: design and creative teams, mainly based in Paris, technicians and product development managers, teams from Italian industrial workshops, as well as production and supply chain managers.

Accademia Holding Moda France was created in May 2025, before HModa's establishment in France. Its French version has one key difference from the Italian model, according to Valentina Vaccarini, director of Accademia HModa, in charge of overseeing its rollout in France. In Italie, L'Académie mainly trains future artisans. In France, it is mainly aimed at teams already in post, in order to deepen their knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Training courses can take place in France, at the HModa site located at 126 C, rue des Fillettes, in Aubervilliers, for a duration ranging from one day to one week. Immersion programmes are also organised in Italie, directly at production sites, over a period of three days to one week.

The programmes include language courses that can be funded through the personal training account (CPF), technology courses and management courses that can be covered by skills operators (OPCO). « Parfois, les cours démarrent en anglais ou en français. Mais, quand on arrive sur du vocabulaire technique, c’est toujours en italien », notes Valentina Vaccarini.

The director also mentions career-changers among the participants. « Ce sont aussi des personnes qui ont commencé leur carrière dans la beauté, par exemple, et qui se reconvertissent à des métiers manuels », she says.

As of publication, 118 people had been trained in 2025, representing 713 hours of courses delivered, and 226 in 2026. Accademia Holding Moda France also collaborates with French fashion schools, including the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM), for which masterclasses are organised on luxury product and supply chain management. L'Académie also welcomes international students in their final year of study, notably in fashion, design and management.
